Con este artículo se presentan los antecedentes del Programa de Apoyo a la Actualización y Superación del Personal Docente del Bachillerato de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, enmarcándolo en el proceso histórico de esta institución. Se describen las principales características del sistema educativo mexicano, de la UNAM, de su bachillerato y del programa.
To define the context of the High School Teachers Development Program (PAAS) and precisely state its importance in the preparation of high school teaching staff, this article presents a summary of the Mexican Educational System, as well as the history and main characteristics of both the National Autonomous University of Mexico and its High –School system. Background to the PAAS and brief historical l summary of it are presented sequently.
