En el siguiente trabajo intentamos mostrar el aporte de la teoría del partisano de Carl Schmitt en la comprensión y análisis del conflicto armado que ha vivido Colombia. El análisis busca incorporar elementos sin los cuales una comprensión integral del fenómeno del conflicto colombiano quedaría incompleta. Entre esos elementos se encuentran: el papel que cumplen en la degradación del conflicto la presencia de los grupos paramilitares como un actor armado irregular, la descomposición del elemento político en los grupos insurgentes, la ilegalidad e ilegitimidad que genera para un Estado el incorporar métodos ilegales para combatir una confrontación irregular, la precariedad del Estado no sólo para ofrecer seguridad y monopolizar el uso de la fuerza sino para cumplir con los presupuestos del denominado "Estado social de derecho" y el papel que están jugando terceros interesados en el conflicto colombiano.
This article shows the contribution ofCarl Schmitt's partisan theory to the understanding and analysis of the armed conflict in Colombia. The analysis seeks to incorporate elements without which a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon of the Colombian conflict would be incomplete. These elements are: the important role in the degradation of the conflict ofthe presence of paramilitary groups as an irregular armed group, the breakdown of the political element in the insurgents, the illegal methods used to combat irregular confrontation, the precariousness of the state, not only to provide security and monopolize the use of force but also to meet the budgets of so-called "social state law", and the role that third parties are playing in the Colombian conflict.
