An interview with Dr. Chung Un-chan, former prime minister of South Korea, is presented. When asked about how he came up with the idea of the Korea Institute for Shared Growth, he mentions the widening gap between conglomerates and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He discusses the concept of shared growth, some successful cases where the shared growth model has been implemented, and how the support of business leaders in Korea can be enlisted in changing policies and laws.
