El desfallecimiento de los partidos políticos en el Perú y el crecimiento de la exposición a los medios masivos e interactivos han modificado los mecanismos de intermediación política. El periodismo de investigación descubre y denuncia transgresiones que el Estado ignora, ejerciendo una accountability vertical. Pero al mismo tiempo, algunos medios masivos elaboran noticias para usarlas a su favor en la lucha política. La esfera pública peruana se está caracterizando por una sucesión de escándalos y acusaciones que reduce la legitimidad institucional y fragmenta la política.
The deterioration of the political parties in Peru and the increasing use of mainstream and interactive media by the public has modified the mechanism of political intermediation. Investigative journalism tends to denounce the wrongdoings that are often ignored by the state, therefore providing bottom-up accountability. However, at the same time, the mass media use in many cases this information to advance their own political agenda. The Peruvian political sphere has been characterise din recent times by a series of scandals that have undermined and fragmented institutional politics in that country.
L’affaiblissement des partis politiques et la progression de l’influence des médias traditionnels et intéractifs ont déterminé la logique d’intermédiation politique au Pérou. Le journalisme d’investigation dévoile et dénonce des infractions à la norme que, à cause de son inertie de vigilance verticale, l’Etat néglige. Au même temps, quelques médias élaborent des informations afin de les mettre en valeur dans un cadre de lutte politique. À l’heure actuelle, l’espace public péruvien se caractérise par une panoplie de scandales et d’accusations compromettant la légitimité institutionnelle, ce qui dégrade le débat politique.
