El Porfiriato fue caracterizado por el régimen posrevolucionario como una dictadura en la cual todo el aparato gubernamental se encontraba al servicio del dictador. Sin embargo, estudios recientes, sobre todo en materia económica, han venido a desgastar las interpretaciones tradicionales. Sin embargo, es poco lo que sabemos todavía acerca del funcionamiento del sistema jurídico durante dicho periodo. El objetivo de este ensayo es explicar y exponer la revisión de la historiografía jurídica que del Porfiriato se ha escrito desde 1990 hasta 2012. Con el fin de trazar las líneas generales que nos permitan realizar un balance historiográfico jurídico del Porfiriato en los últimos veinte años. Así como explicar el rumbo que, desde nuestra perspectiva, deberían seguir los estudios que sobre este tema se lleven a cabo.
The Porfiriato was characterized by the post-revolutionary regime as a dictatorship in which the governmental apparatus was serving to the dictator. However, recent studies, especially in economic matters, have come to change the traditional interpretations. However, there is little we still know about the functioning of the legal system during this period. The aim of this essay is to explain and expose a review of legal historiography about the Porfiriato written from 1990 to 2012. In order to trace the outlines that allow us to make a legal assessment of the porfirian legal historiography in the last twenty years. Also, we try to explain the direction, from our perspective, which studies of this topic should continue.
