In the 350th anniversary of its foundation, the article gives a detailed history of Como Public Library (Northern Lombardy). Created in 1663 by the will of a prominent nobleman, the library has gathered rich collections of manuscripts, books, documents, prints etc., all important sources for the study of the local history.
