El artículo trata de introducir al lector en el problema del libre albedrío, mostrando la aparente contradicción entre dos ideas plausibles. En primer lugar está la idea de que todo lo que sucede en este universo es causado, o determinado por los eventos o circunstancias anteriores (Determinismo). En segundo lugar, la idea de que los seres humanos tienen libertad de hacer o no hacer lo que quieran, sin estar causalmente determinados a hacerlo (Libertarismo). Por último, defenderé un tercer punto de vista que surge tratando de conciliar las dos ideas anteriores, el cual dice que el determinismo y el libertarismo no se contradicen, puesto que podemos ser considerados moralmente responsables de nuestras elecciones libres a pesar de que sean determinadas (Compatibilismo).
The article tries to introduce the reader to the problem free will, showing the apparent contradiction between two plausible ideas. First is the idea that everything that happens in this universe is caused or determined by previous events or circumstances (Determinism). Secondly, the idea that human beings are free to do or not do what want, without being causally determined to do (Libertarianism). Finally, I will defend a third point of view that comes trying to reconcile the two ideas earlier, which says that determinism and libertarianism are not contradictory, since we can be considered morally responsible for our despite free elections to be determined (Compatibilism).
