  • The core principles of IFLA code of ethics for librarians and other information workers endorsed in August 2012 are here presented, commented and compared with the principles prevailing in the national codes of ethics of librarians' professional associations. Moreover, the author proposes an adjustment of the code of ethics of the Associazione italiana biblioteche to the IFLA code.
