The lawyer’s profession is reviewing its own governance. Between the National Bar Council, the local orders and various technical agencies several institutions speak in the name of the 53,000 French lawyers. Time has come for a long overdue process of rationalization. In this article, the president of the Paris Bar, the largest one in the country with 24,300 lawyers, contributes to the current debate.

Le temps est venu d’une nécessaire rationalisation. Le bâtonnier de Paris, à la tête du premier barreau de France (24 300 avocats), apporte sa contribution à ce débat.
