El cruce entre arte, cultura de masas, política y rol intelectual adquiere formas particulares de acuerdo a las distintas configuraciones históricas. Este trabajo toma como eje análisis la producción historietística de Héctor Oesterheld entre 1957 y 1969 e intenta vincular dichos sistemas de signos con los hechos culturales y políticos de esos años. Un intento por reubicar la tensión entre las prácticas sociales y las abstracciones ideológicas discursivas que constituyen la escena por la lucha del sentido en un tiempo y un espacio preciso, marcado, hipotéticamente, por la paulatina subordinación del compromiso estético-político en favor del gesto militante.
The intersection between art, mass culture, political and intellectual role assumes particular forms according to different historical configurations. This work takes as its focus the comics analysis by Hector Oesterheld between 1957 and 1969 and attempt to link these systems of signs with cultural and political events of those years. An attempt to relocate the tension between social practices and discursive ideological abstractions which are the scene of the struggle meaning in a precise time and space, setting, hypothetically, by the gradual subordination of the aesthetic and political engagement for the militant gesture
