El trabajo que se presenta pretende brindar un examen de talante analítico sobre la relación entre dimensión teórica y dimensión empírica, la inducción y la deducción como caminos posibles de un método científico, el concepto y uso del recurso teórico de ‘tipos ideales’ y el impacto de la subjetividad del investigador en la investigación. El abordaje que se realiza toma en cuenta los aportes de autores como Max Weber y Paul Feyerabend. En el desarrollo del trabajo el lector podrá identificar elementos y tópicos que son compartidos por ambos autores, otros donde las posiciones de éstos, sin ser compartidas, se hacen rayanas, y otras veces encontrará posiciones originales antinómicas.
The present text analyses the links between theory and empiria, induction and deduction as a scientific method, the concept and use of theoretical resource of ‘ideal types’ and the impact of researcher subjectivity in the research. The discussion gets in account the contributions of Max Weber and Paul Feyerabend and explores issues that are shared by both authors, others where the positions of these, without being shared, are bordering, and other times you will find original antinomic between.
