El presente artículo analiza el proceso independentista de la América española desde la perspectiva de las principales variables de su atomización. El periodo analizado va desde las juntas rebeldes de 1809 a1810 hasta los primeros años de la Independencia. Las conclusiones subrayan el carácter estructural de la desintegración hispanoamericana, sin por ello desestimar su multifinalidad.
The present article analyzes the independence process of Spanish America from the perspective of the main variables of its atomization. The analyzed period goes from the Juntas of 1809-1810 to the first years of republicanism.
The conclusions emphasize the structural character of the Hispano-American disintegration, without misestimating its multifinality.
