Strictly speaking, Ortega didn't make a philosophy of technique, but rather makes a suggestive outline of it. Nevertheless the theme of technique is a kind of transverse axis of his thought. Although personally, Ortega was interested in North American Pragmatism; in fact, the pragmatist look of his ontology is the cause behind the technical character of his philosophy in general and specifically in his anthropology. More than half a century after his death, Ortega teaches us that, in the today's society, almost purely technological, it's possible to draw anthropology with a marked "technical look" and at the same time with a highly humanistic insight.
