Este trabajo pretende ilustrar la importancia de la estructuración del estado Nacional ecuatoriano en base a la educación, cuyos pilares son la religión y la tecnología, así como también evidenciar la estructura social y el inicio de la aceptación del mestizaje como componente cultural. Juan León Mera, a través de sus textos, se convierte en el ideólogo y organizador del esquema educativo mediante la utilización de catecismos y textos, priorizando el memorismo como método de enseñanza.
This research Intends to illustrate the importance of the shaping of the National Ecuadorean State concerning education based on religion and technology, as well as, making evident the social structure and the beginning of the acceptance of cross breeding as a cultural issue. Juan León Mera, through his texts, becomes the first ideologist and coordinator of the educative scheme trough the using of catechisms and texts, giving special emphasis to memorizing as a teaching method.
