El artículo expone los argumentos legales y jurisprudenciales que afirman el deber de la autoridad de dar respuesta a las peticiones formuladas por cualquier persona en virtud del artículo 19 Nº 14 de la Constitución Política de la República, el cual consagra la posibilidad de dicha persona a presentar peticiones a la autoridad sobre cualquier asunto de interés público o privado. Se intenta responder a la pregunta: ¿En tanto derecho individual, existe por parte de la autoridad requerida el deber u obligación correlativo de responder a las peticiones formuladas?.
This work shows legal arguments which confirm the authorities must of answering demands made by citizens based on the 19 article Nº 14 of the Republic Political Constitution. The article gives citizens the right to ask authorities about any private or public issue. The idea is to answer the following question: If citizens have the right to ask about any issue, do authorities have a must or obligation of giving an answer?.
