The use of telework increased as a way of adapting to the complex situation following the impact of the 2020 pandemic. Several years later, this work modality is still present, being foreseeable that its use will be maintained with some future adjustments. In this context, the objective of this paper is the analysis of the supervision carried out within this context defined by the absence of the worker’s physical presence. To achieve this, we analyze the discourse of workers who perform, partially or totally, their tasks outside the company’s premises, in order to describe the controls deployed. The results display the use within organizations of old forms of control adapted to this virtual environment. It has been observed that the deployment of supervision is grounded on existing socialization networks, on the technology used and on the establishment of objectives combined with controls oriented towards the employee’s self- responsibility.
