The use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is becoming wide spread within the library sector. This article «interviews» three of these models aiming to explore how they conceive and express their role in said process. It is not an exhaustive analysis but an alternative heuristic approach to the AI implementation in libraries. The interview consists of five questions covering issues such as the impact in library work, the possibility of replacement or AI ethics. Answers are analysed in the light of the most recent scientific literature. As expected, AI generally concur with the available literature since the former feeds from the latter, at least partially. However, there are several aspects worthy of mention.
