La Biblioteca Florestán Aguilar, ubicada en la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), contiene una de las colecciones bibliográficas más importantes en el campo de la Odontología y de la Medicina. Su nombre honra al doctor Florestán Aguilar y Rodríguez (1872-1934), figura clave en la consolidación académica de la Odontología en España. El objetivo de este trabajo es dar a conocer su maravillosa biblioteca. En primer lugar, se ha realizado un breve paso por la vida de D. Florestán Aguilar para poner en contexto la historia de su colección bibliográfica y cómo llegó a la entonces Escuela de Estomatología. En segundo lugar, la intención es agradecer a su mujer, María Iruretagoyena, la donación de esta maravillosa joya a la Escuela de Estomatología, inaugurada el 12 de octubre de 1945.
Florestán Aguilar Library, situated in Dentistry Faculty, Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) has one of the most important bibliographic collection in Dentistry and Medicine. Its name is related to Florestán Aguilar, a key figure in the academic consolidation of the Dentistry Studies in Spain. The aim of this job is to show his marvellous library everyone. First of all, we need to know something about the life of FA so we will show his bibliographic colletion came to Stomatologic School. In second place, I have the intention to give thanks to his wife, María Iruretagoyena, the donation of this marvellous treasure to the Stomatologic School, which was inaugurated on October 12, 1945.
