El present treball fa una ullada a la producció erudita d’Antoni Ferrando relacionada amb la història de la literatura i la cultura catalanes de l’edat moderna, des de la seua tesi doctoral (1976), dedicada als certàmens poètics valencians al llarg del temps, fins a les seues darreres aportacions publicades. D’altra banda, fa elenc de les tesis doctorals dirigides per Ferrando en relació amb l’edat moderna. Finalment, analitza i comenta el seu paper com a impulsor dels estudis sobre la literatura i el món cultural del segles xvi-xviii a València.
The contributions of Antoni Ferrando Francés to the history of Catalan literature in the Early Modern period This study takes a look at the scholarly work of Antoni Ferrando related to the history of Catalan literature and culture in the Early Modern period, from his doctoral thesis (1973), devoted to Valencian poetic contests over time, to his most recent published contributions. On the other hand, it provides a list of the doctoral dissertations supervised by Ferrando in connection with the Early Modern period. Finally, it analyzes and comments on his role as a driving force behind studies on literature and the cultural world of the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries in Valencia.
