The research aims to analyze the scientific production behavior of Cuban authors in specialized tourism journals during the period 2016-2020. A descriptive bibliometric study was conducted to measure scientific production using indicators for the evaluation of scientific activity, employing computer tools to visualize the results. A total of 34 contributions were retrieved from specialized tourism journals in the WoS, Scopus and Scielo databases. The study also identified the quantity of manuscripts per journal and per institution, the impact of research by authors, and the main thematic lines addressed. The conclusions drawn from the analyzed sample confirm the leading role of Cuban universities. The predominance of the Spanish language in publications and the insufficient number of Cuban scientific journals in the research field limit the dissemination of research by national researchers.
