  • This article offers a critical review of the volume "Renaissance Scholasticism. Fighting Back" edited by Amos Edelheit (Brill, Leiden, 2025), published in the series Studies in Medieval and Reformation Traditions (vol. 247). In addition, the article addresses the problem of periodization in philosophical thought between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, with the aim of identifying key elements relevant to the definition of “Renaissance philosophy”.
