La planeación estratégica permite al sector agroindustrial desarrollarse de manera económica y social ya que se enfoca en aplicar estrategias innovadoras para ampliarse a diferentes mercados tanto interno como externo, crear nuevos productos, ser competitivos y crecer empresarialmente para bienestar de sus familias y el desarrollo del país. El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar el sector agrícola en la Provincia de Los Ríos, su superficie de actividad productiva, el porcentaje de participación a nivel regional y nacional, sus principales productos lo cual nos orienta lo que se quiere impulsar de manera agroindustrial. Para ello, la investigación tuvo un enfoque tanto cuantitativo como cualitativo lo que nos llevó al análisis bibliográfico para aplicar un análisis interno y externo del sector hasta la aplicación de una encuesta a la muestra extraída del total de la población de las Asociaciones Agrícolas con que cuenta la Provincia de Los Ríos. El resultado fue la necesidad de crear una estructura de planeación estratégica adaptada a las necesidades del sector agroindustrial que impulse el desarrollo socioeconómico teniendo cinco etapas claves que promueven la sostenibilidad, productividad y competitividad en el mercado.
Strategic planning allows the agro-industrial sector to develop economically and socially, since it focuses on applying innovative strategies to expand to different markets, both internal and external, create new products, be competitive and grow as a business for the well-being of their families and the development of the country. The objective of this research was to analyze the agricultural sector in the Province of Los Ríos, its productive activity surface, the percentage of participation at the regional and national level, its main products, which guides us on what we want to promote in an agro-industrial way. To do this, the research had both a quantitative and qualitative approach, which led us to a bibliographic analysis to apply an internal and external analysis of the sector until the application of a survey to the sample extracted from the total population of the Agricultural Associations that the Province of Los Ríos has. The result was the need to create a strategic planning structure adapted to the needs of the agro-industrial sector that promotes socioeconomic development having five key stages that promote sustainability, productivity and competitiveness in the market.
