This paper aims to analyze how bonds of solidarity are established among residents of the Constitución and Villa 21-24 neighborhoods to meet the needs related to the reproduction of their daily lives.
The methodology employed is based on a qualitative approach. For data collection, personal records and six open-ended, semi-structured interviews with professionals from two health centers were used, some of whom were also residents of these neighborhoods.
The analysis will focus on material conditions and the strategies developed by individuals. The place where people live directly influences their opportunities for social reproduction. Therefore, when devising strategies, the neighborhood’s structural conditions, the relationships built within it, and personal history, among other factors, come into play. Social Work plays an important role in identifying these strategies, which, being part of everyday life and often confined to the private sphere, tend to remain invisible.
