AbstractThe present text focuses on the double dimension —political and moral— that the Guevarist legacy assumed in the Argentine Marxist guerrilla movement of the 1970s. To this end, it begins with the impact experienced by Latin American Marxism after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution —principally with regard to the characterization of the revolution, on the one hand, and the role and modality of the armed struggle, on the other— that is in that scenario where the experience of the Argentine armed left is inscribed. From there, it analyzes the history and characteristics of the Workers› Revolutionary Party-Revolutionary People›s Army [PRT-ERP], in light of a double dimension of the Guevarist legacy. Hence, it addresses both the modality and the specific senses assumed by the foquism in terms of the political line of the organization, as well as those ethico-moral values that shaped the party›s identity and from which emanated unrenounceable collective mandates that determined the actions of the organization.
