The article aims to do a portrayal paint of Restorative Justice (JR) in the States of Minas Gerais and São Paulo. And the choice to analyze the Restorative Justice in these courts took into account the diversity of experiences, as well as the fact that the São Paulo court was one of the pioneers in implementing the Restorative Justice, while the Minas Gerais court implemented the Restorative Justice later, during its expansion process. This is a descriptive research that analyzes guidelines, projects and training of facilitators in these courts. This way, it is possible to have a broader view of the Restorative Justice organization within these courts. Given the lack of historical records, information provided by the courts themselves is used, carrying out documentary analysis of the regulations and dialogue with other research on the subject. The research is justified because Restorative Justice can be a public policy for promoting a culture of peace, but there is still no information, organized data and descriptions of how it is happening in Brazilian courts. Thus, it was possible to infer that the TJSP is much more structured and organized in relation to the TJMG. And it seems to us that the TJSP, currently, plays an important and prominent role in the construction of the judicial Restorative Justice in Brazil. Some magistrates who are in charge of the JR in the São Paulo court are also part of the CNJ's Restorative Justice Management Committee, which may indicate the influence of the São Paulo model in the characterization of the National Public Policy for Restorative Justice of the Judiciary.
