Although we do not like to highlight the penalty amounts, but rather the facts reported and the infringements that are imputed, on this occasion, we must influence a resolution for this reason because the SDPA has just imposed the highest since the application of the GDPR. A total of 18 million euros, which by going to prompt payment has remained at 14 and a half million, exceeding the 10 million imposed on Aena a few months ago.
In previous issues we already warned that one of the cases in which the SDPA is processing more sanctioning procedures and consequently fining are those in which a copy of the national identity card is requested. Among them, for example, when renting a home or a tourist flat.
We also looked at two resolutions related to security measures. One of them, with an event that often occurs is the sending of information by email without encrypting the information. The other, a rather curious case, occurred at a gas station where you could obtain the ticket of the person who had refueled with their personal data.
