Rubber production in the humid tropics of Mexico faces phytosanitary limitations, mainly due to South American leaf blight (Pseudocercospora ulei), and the low availability of adapted genetic materials. The objective of this study was to evaluate the growth, disease tolerance, and yield of 20 rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) clones in Uxpanapa, Veracruz. Over a 10-year period, a randomized block design with three replications was used to monitor plant health, vigor, and productivity variables. Results indicated that vigor, measured through trunk circumference (TC), was led by clones IAN-754 (70.22 cm), GU-198 (61.93 cm), and IAN-710 (60.15 cm). In terms of health and early productivity, clones GU-198, FX-3899, and IAN-710 stood out due to their high tolerance to leaf blight and higher rates of trees in tapping. These same genotypes presented the highest cumulative yields, with averages of 1 721, 1 438, and 1 353 kg ha-1, respectively. A direct integration between leaf resistance and vegetative vigor was identified as a precursor to final yield per hectare. It is concluded that GU-198, FX-3899, and IAN-710 are the most recommended materials for commercial plantations under the agroecological conditions of the region. These findings provide genetic bases to mitigate the impact of diseases and improve crop profitability in areas with high pathogenpressure.
