Se presenta un caso de recuperación de memoria archivística local que corresponde a un conjunto de libros registro de ingresos y movimientos del Cementerio Municipal de la ciudad de Quillota (Chile), las circunstancias históricas que han modelado el camposanto y las características de la gestión administrativa y la tipología documental que ha generado. Pocos son los estudios referidos a la documentación sobre la administración de cementerios; los que aquí se presentan dan cuenta de una larga historia de familias que habitaron la ciudad y de aquellos que vinieron de otras latitudes en un periodo de alrededor de cien años, las fechas de ingreso, causa de defunción, etc.
