This study analyzes a missing staircase that may help to understand the models in force in the Seville of the Renaissance, such as the staircase of the City Hall of Seville, built in mid-1540. We rely on unpublished documentary sources, two concerts of work and their corresponding memoirs, found in the Provincial Historical Archive of Seville, referents, in all probability, the execution of the main staircase of the monastery of San Pablo el Real de Sevilla and its corresponding coffered ceiling. The data provided confirm the work of this between 1574 and 1575, when it was prior of the said monastery the reverend father friar Juan de Espinosa and equally abound in the knowledge of reforms in surrounding spaces, contributing to know how this monastic complex was already late sixteenth century.
