This article examines how artificial intelligence systems and social robotics serve as strategic tools for mitigating unwanted loneliness among vulnerable older adults. The text analyzes the transition toward a model of technological care, in which smart devices and machine learning algorithms enable the detection of isolation risks and provide emotional support. However, the study warns of the profound ethical and legal challenges that arise, particularly regarding the autonomy of older adults’ will and the risk of algorithmic manipulation, as well as the need to protect the right to privacy in the face of constant surveillance, proposing that technology must always be subordinate to human oversight. Ultimately, it advocates for a legal framework that guarantees informed consent and prevents the dehumanization of care in the digital age
