The cultural transformation brought about by digitalization is profoundly reshaping working time and challenging traditional models of availability and productivity. In this new context, it becomes necessary to rethink the temporal organization of work by in corporating mechanisms that balance flexibility with adequate protection against the risks associated with hyper connectivity. The debate on working time reduction is resurfacing as a response to automation and to the need for a more equitable distribution of employment. At the same time, the idea of establishing a genuine «non working time» framework is emerging, aimed at safeguarding effective spaces for disconnection and recovery. Altogether, these developments are driving the emergence of «techno times» of work, characterized by the integration of digital tools and a more dynamic manage ment of working time, yet also exposed to new regulatory and occupational health challenges.
