  • After 20 years of rule by the Movement Toward Socialism party, Bolivia is facing an unprecedented economic and social crisis. The new government of Rodrigo Paz Pereira is dealing with some tough reforms, while Evo Morales is getting ready to make a political comeback by taking advantage of the growing discontent among the people. Bolivia is a prime example of the quiet geopolitical war between Western and anti-Western powers that is deepening regional divisions and threatening the stability of the continent.
