This article investigates the process of community belonging construction in the Cooperativa Žena, an organization formed by women survivors of the war in the Srebrenica region (Bosnia-Herzegovina). The central question is: how do women who experienced a context of interethnic violence and social disintegration rebuild bonds of belonging and trust in the postwar period? Through thematic analysis of their members' narratives, it is argued that the cooperative operates as a space for reconstructing the social fabric, where belonging manifests itself in three interconnected dimensions: affective (bonds of care and family metaphors), relational (networks of trust and mutual support), and civic-political (struggle for rights and recognition in the public sphere). The analysis further reveals that this belonging reconfigures ethnic divisions without demanding their erasure, creating a form of coexistence where differences are articulated around shared projects.
