To simply and systematically evaluate foreign policies, and in particular Mexico’s during President Claudia Sheinbaum’s first year in office, one can identify whether they follow the “5-ps” of good foreign policies by the following: they must be structured as public policies; they must be a priority at the presidential level; and they must be executed professionally with sufficient personnel and budgets. The more these principles are observed, and the more consciously and effectively they are implemented, the greater the probability that foreign policy will promote national security, development and well-being.
