Eighty years since its founding, the United Nations must restore its purpose, its guiding compass, its trust in itself as an institution, and then, regain the trust of humanity. This necessary and urgent process must begin with a reform that cannot and should not be based solely on the criticism of passive observers.
The dedication of the first humanitarian worker, who courageously risks his or her life, should be the same as that of its highest diplomat.
