La inteligencia artificial generativa (IAG) ha evidenciado beneficios y riesgos en la educación, además de asumir un papel de acompañamiento educativo socioafectivo simulando lenguaje y emociones. Esta investigación examina las interacciones que el estudiantado universitario establece con la herramienta ChatGPT, atendiendo a los intercambios dialógicos, los prompts, y las posibles personificaciones asignadas, factores que podrían favorecer su humanización. Con un diseño mixto concurrente, se efectuó un análisis cualitativo del contenido de instrucciones y narrativas sobre experiencias y emociones vinculadas al uso de esta IAG, y un análisis K-means de ítems tipo Likert relativos a los tipos de interacción y roles atribuidos. Los resultados revelan una postura dicotómica: una parte del estudiantado reconoce en ChatGPT un agente educativo con quien mantienen interacciones equipara-bles o mejores a las que sostienen con sus docentes; otra lo reconoce como una herramienta funcional que agiliza el trabajo, sin conferirle un carácter afectivo o interpersonal
Generative artificial intelligence (GAI) has shown both benefits and risks in education, while also taking on a socio-affective educational support role by simulating language and emotions. This study examines the interactions that university students establish with ChatGPT, focusing on dialogic exchanges, prompts, and possible personifications assigned to it — factors that could favor its humanization. Using a concurrent mixed-methods design, a qualitative content analysis of instructions and narratives about experiences and emotions related to GAI use was conducted, alongside a K-means analysis of Likert-type items regarding interaction types and attributed roles. The results reveal a dichotomous stance: some students recognize ChatGPT as an educational agent with whom they maintain interactions comparable to or better than those with their professors; others recognize it as a functional tool that streamlines work, without attributing affective or interpersonal qualities to it.
