This paper delves into the concept of the image as a device that reconfigures the boundaries of the visible, determines who is recognized within the common sphere, and emancipates those who are rendered invisible. It posits that images are not merely visual representations, but rather tools of dissent that intervene in the organization of the visible. The work examines the ideas of thinkers such as Jacques Ran-cière, Walter Benjamin, Bernard Stiegler, and Andrea Soto Calderón, analyzing the political-aesthetic role of images in the redistribution of the visible and exploring their emancipatory potential in a world marked by me-dia hegemony and symbolic poverty.
