This proposal attempts to carry out an analysis of the institutions of administration of justice in the Indies. In this regard, it should be noted that justice was disseminated depending on the circumstances. Although the Royal Audience and Chancellery was the institution with the greatest concentration of work, there were a generous number of special jurisdictions. From university courts to cattle ranchers, Laws of the Indies had a constant evolution in more than three hundred years. In the course of this work, we analyzed how jurisdictional activity was carried out using direct sources. We also examine the origins of Indian Law, whose sources date back to Roman Law, Canonical Law, and the fusion of many legal institutions that consolidated Castilian Law.
