Latin America has been at the epicenter of a wave of cyber attacks since the start of the pandemic, however, the countries in the region still do not fully understand what cybersecurity means in political terms. The topic remains at the side-lines of political priorities, and while understandably so, given the multiple crises they face; lack of cyber security continue to cripple whole government agencies and major private sector companies in the region. How will Latin America navigate its own dilemmas of regional integration, development, surveillance, and computer vulnerability as it goes forward?
