In 2021 a new electoral super cycle began in Latin America during which all the countries in the region, apart from Bolivia, will renew their presidents and congresses. These elections are taking place in a context of multiple crises that cover-up and deepen the inequalities, poverty and citizen distrust of the elites. Therefore, it is urgent to renew political leadership styles, recover citizen trust, rethink democracy, re-legitimize institutions and renegotiate social contracts.
