Las zonas regables de interés nacional (ZIN) de Aragón llegan ahora a su práctica conclusión, tras modificarse las condiciones de su financiación; con ello acaba un modelo de expansión del regadío nacido en el siglo XX ligado con frecuencia a procesos de colonización. Se expone en el presente trabajo un detalle de las últimas obras en distintas fases de ejecución y se muestra la gran importancia alcanzada de todos esos regadíos en la producción final agraria aragonesa; si bien en un marco actual del sector agrario y de su estructura productiva, que dista mucho del existente cuando fueron planeados. En el artículo se constata esta realidad y se llama la atención de los retos que deben abordar las Comunidades de Regantes, especialmente las Comunidades Generales de los grandes sistemas, en la gobernanza del agua, más allá del regadío propiamente dicho.
The Irrigable Areas of National Interest in Aragon are now practically complete, after changing the conditions for their financing; with them comes to an end a model of irrigation expansion, frequently linked to agricultural colonization projects, that originated in the 20th century. It is shown here a detail of the latest works in execution processes and shows the great importance achieved by all these irrigations in the Aragon's final agricultural output; however, this is within the current context of the agricultural sector and its production structure, which differs considerably from that which existed when these zones were planned. The article acknowledges this reality and draws attention to the challenges that Irrigation Communities must address in water governance, extending beyond the realm of irrigation itself.
