El presente artículo ofrece una reflexión situada entre la estética y la teología natural a partir del pensamiento de Charles S. Peirce y C. S. Evans. El objetivo del trabajo es ex-plorar el misterio de Dios desde una aproximación estética, to-mando como punto de partida la armonía presente en el cosmos, tanto a escala macroscópica como microscópica. Se plantea que pueden identificarse ciertos «signos naturales» (Evans), de ca-rácter indéxico e icónico (Peirce), que abren una vía interpreta-tiva hacia la idea de un Creador. En este contexto se examina el llamado «argumento olvidado en favor de la realidad de Dios» desarrollado por Peirce. Sostenemos que, en el contexto contem-poráneo, resulta filosóficamente legítimo plantear la cuestión de Dios desde una perspectiva estética, sin recurrir a demostra-ciones apodícticas
This article offers a reflection situated between aes-thetics and natural theology, drawing on the thought of Charles S. Peirce and C. S. Evans. The aim of the study is to explore the mystery of God from an aesthetic approach, taking as its point of departure the harmony present in the cosmos, both at the macroscopic and microscopic levels. It is argued that certain “natural signs” (Evans)—of an indexical and iconic character (Peirce)—may be identified as opening an interpretive path to-ward the idea of a Creator. In this context, the paper examines the so-called “neglected argument for the reality of God” devel-oped by Peirce. We maintain that, in the contemporary context, it is philosophically legitimate to address the question of God from an aesthetic perspective, without appealing to apodictic demonstrations.
