El pasado 3 de enero se publicaba la Ley Orgánica 1/2025 culminándose así la ansiada reforma organizativa de la administración de Justicia en la primera instancia. El nuevo modelo organizativo supone la transformación de los tradicionales juzgados unipersonales en tribunales de instancia, con la mirada puesta en la elevación de las cotas de eficiencia y eficacia del Servicio Público de Justicia. En este trabajo se describe el nuevo modelo de Tribunal de Instancia y la consecuente nueva reorganización de la Oficina Judicial que como estructura instrumental facilita y auxilia el ejercicio de la función jurisdiccional. Se analiza la implantación del nuevo sistema judicial en la Región de Murcia y se hace una reseña particular al modelo del Tribunal de Instancia de San Javier, modelo piloto de la fase I del despliegue del nuevo modelo. Se destacan las ventajas y utilidades de la nueva organización y se hace hincapié en la necesidad del incremento de la planta judicial para que la reforma llevada a cabo produzca efectos reales y perceptibles por la ciudadanía. Sin la superación del déficit histórico de planta que arrastra la Región de Murcia el objetivo de una Justicia eficaz y ágil no podrá alcanzarse, con la consiguiente merma en la protección eficiente de los derechos e intereses de los ciudadanos.
On January 3rd, Organic Law 1/2025 was published, marking the longawaited organizational reform of the Justice Administration at the first instance level. The new organizational model transforms the traditional single-judge courtsinto Courts of Instance, aiming to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Public Justice Service. This paper describes the new Court of Instance model and the resulting reorganization of the Judicial Office, which serves as an instrumental structure to support and facilitate the exercise of judicial functions. It analyzes the implementation of the new judicial system in the Region of Murcia, with a particular focus on the Court of Instance of San Javier, a pilot model in Phase I of the rollout. The advantages and benefits of the new organization are highlighted, and emphasis is placed on the need to increase the number of judicial posts to ensure that the reform produces real and noticeable effects for citizens. Without overcoming the historical shortage of judicial staff in the Region of Murcia, the goal of achieving efficient and agile justice will remain unattainable, resulting in a diminished capacity to effectively protect the rights and interests of citizens.
