    La profesora, escritora, feminista, intelectual, política y diplomática Amanda Labarca Hubertson (1886-1975) es uno de los personajes más destacados de la primera mitad del siglo XX en Chile. A través de sus planteamientos y obras concretas a favor de las mujeres daremos a conocer su inclusión en el feminismo, corriente de origen europeo que propugna la reivindicación política, jurídica y educacional de la mujer. Su labor indivisible entre teoría y praxis llevarán a Amanda Labarca Hubertson a emprender una lucha a favor de garantizar los mismos derechos de los varones, así como también a ocupar en la familia y en la vida de pareja un rol paritario y no subordinado al hombre. Las demandas que nuestra autora formulará, las materializará a través de cuatro dimensiones: como educadora, en su competencia política, en su responsabilidad diplomática y como cooperante en materia legislativa. Asimismo, mediante su legado no solo podremos comprender y conocer los obstáculos de la época frente a sus actividades, también será posible conocer a una gran crítica del sistema jurídico, político y educacional del momento.

    The teacher, writer, feminist, intellectual, politician, and diplomat Amanda Labarca Hubertson (1886-1975) is one of the most prominent figures of the first half of the 20th century in Chile. Through her ideas and concrete work in favor of women, we will highlight her inclusion in feminism, a movement of european origin that advocates for the political, legal, and educational vindication of women. Her work, inseparably linking theory and praxis, would lead Amanda Labarca Hubertson to undertake a struggle to guarantee the same rights as men, as well as to occupy, within the family and in couple relationships, a role of equality rather than subordination to men. The demands formulated by our author, were materialized through four dimensions: her career as an educator, her political competence, her diplomatic responsibility, and her collaboration in legislative matters. Additionally, through her legacy we will not only be able to understand and recognize the obstacles of her time in relation to her activities, but also to discover a major critic of the legal, political, and educational systems of the time.
