El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la reconstrucción de la Masacre del Perejil (1937) en la novela histórica TheFarming of Bones, de la autora haitiana-americana Edwidge Danticat. Para esto se tuvieron en cuenta la interrelación entre los personajes como reflejo o superación de las ideas antihaitianistas, la construcción del espacio y el tratamiento al trujillismo. La investigación fue interdisciplinaria. Se emplearon los métodos histórico-lógico, el análisis del discurso y el análisis literario. La novela aborda la masacre desde la postura del conflicto fatal entre Haití y República Dominicana, y se posiciona desde el presente de la autora.
The objective of this article is to analyze the reconstruction of the Parsley Massacre (1937) in the historical novel TheFarming of Bones, by the Haitian-American author Edwidge Danticat. For this purpose, the interrelationship between the characters as a reflection or overcoming of anti-Haitianist ideas, the construction of space and the treatment of Trujillism were taken into account. The research was interdisciplinary. Historical-logical methods, discourse analysis and lit-erary analysis were used. The novel approaches the massacre from the position of the fatal conflict between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and is positioned from the author’s present.
