La finalidad de este artículo es sistematizar las experiencias del trabajador social en la Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador, como una forma de describir los métodos de intervención que realizan los profesionales del área para la atención a los estudiantes desde la Unidad de Atención Socioeconómica de la Dirección de Desarrollo y Bienestar Estudiantil. Metodológicamente se abordará desde una investigación documental apoyada con los enfoques cualitativo-cuantitativos. Los informantes clave fueron los trabajadores sociales de la Universidad. Se utilizó la técnica del cuestionario on line y como instrumento la encuesta estructurada en selección múltiple y preguntas abiertas. La información recabada se procesará con el método de análisis de contenido y con la estadística no paramétrica. A manera de conclusión, se puede señalar que los trabajadores sociales conocen diferentes métodos de intervención, destacando: el psicodinámico, intervención en crisis, centrado en la tarea, humanista existencial, gestión de casos, el sistémico y el narrativo; emplean con mayor frecuencia el método sistémico dentro de su dinámica laboral, ya que se aborda al estudiante de manera integral, holística, como un sistema donde se consideran todos los fenómenos inherentes a su realidad y se relacionan entre sí. El Método de Estratificación Social Graffar (modificado) es el utilizado por los TS; en cuanto a las visitas domiciliarias reconocen su importancia, pero actualmente no se ejecutan, por la situación país.
The purpose of this article is to systematize the experiences of the social worker at the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador, as a way of describing the methods of intervention carried out by the professionals of the area for the attention to the students from the Unit of Socioeconomic Attention of the Direction of Development and Student Welfare. Methodologically, it will be approached from a documentary research supported with qualitative-quantitative approaches. The key informants were the social workers of the University. The online questionnaire technique was used and the survey, structured in multiple choice and open questions, was used as an instrument. The information collected will be processed with the content analysis method and non-parametric statistics. By way of conclusion, it can be noted that social workers know different methods of intervention, highlighting: The psychodynamic, crisis intervention, task-centered, existential humanist, case management, systemic and narrative, they employ more frequently the systemic method within their work dynamics, since the student is approached in an integral, holistic way, as a system where all the phenomena inherent to their reality are considered and related to each other. The Graffar Social Stratification Method (modified) is the one used by the STs. As for home visits, they recognize their importance, but they are not currently carried out, due to the country’s situation.
