In recent years, sound has become a highly relevant element in the communication strategies of organisations seeking to connect with their audiences through the auditory channel. Among other audio formats, one of the most prominent is the podcast, which is used in both external and internal communication. Of the different types of podcasting that exist in the business or institutional sphere (branded podcast, institutional podcast, and corporate podcast), this research focuses specifically on the corporate podcast, which is used to promote internal communication between companies and their employees, members, and stakeholders. Using a methodological approach based on a case study with triangulation, three representative cases in Spain (Coca-Cola, Mapfre, and Banco Santander) are analyzed with the aim of understanding the nature of these sound productions, as well as the content, structure, and frequency of their episodes, and their impact in relation to their internal audience. The content analysis of the episodes (n=68) shows that although the corporate podcasts investigated share some common objectives, each company adapts its use to its own identity and internal communication strategies. Through this innovative channel, organisations manage to generate informative and educational content, strengthen their organisational culture, and foster a sense of belonging and commitment. Furthermore, they reinforce their leadership and social responsibility, thereby improving their corporate image among the general public.
