The use of the collection of scientific and technical journals that the “Ignacio Méndez Ramírez” Library has subscribed to since the 1990s is analyzed. Specifically, the study uses data from digital journals from the last three years to understand their usage, performing various analyses. A cross-sectional descriptive method has been used since 1976 to analyze academic productivity. The purpose is to verify whether subscriptions continue to support the research lines conducted at the Institute for Applied Mathematics and Systems Research (IIMAS-UNAM). The results show that the evolution of journal subscriptions has met the lines of research developed at the Institute.
Se analiza el uso de la colección de revistas científicas y técnicas que la Biblioteca “Ignacio Méndez Ramírez” ha suscrito desde la década de los años noventa. Para ello por una parte el estudio toma datos de las revistas en formato digital de los últimos tres años para conocer su uso, realizando diversos análisis; y se emplea un método descriptivo transversal desde el año de 1976 para analizar la productividad académica; con la finalidad de comprobar si las suscripciones continúan apoyando a las líneas de investigación que se realizan en el Instituto de Investigaciones en Matemáticas Aplicadas y en Sistemas (IIMAS-UNAM). Los resultados muestran que evolución de las suscripciones de las revistas ha atendido a las líneas de investigación que se desarrollan en el Instituto.
