The problem of the female immigrant's working conditions is increasingly arousing interest in Italy; yet, so far, not systematic analysis or presentation of statistical data describing the phenom-enon is available, nor is any specific body of regulations gov-erning it.
In this respect, only domestic service has receveíd rather con¬siderable attention but, althought it represents a fairly stable source of income, it still remains one of the least `protected' jobs, and one which makes the female immigrant suffer both the disadvan-tages of being a woman and an immigrant.
