The Author gives an outline of the most significant aspects of the various professional patterns existing within the Civil Service in Italy as well as of the legislation on the subject; the features,which at the present stage, show new elements of interest are par-ticularly stressed.
The articulated on-going reforming process seems indeed to create both the most favourable conditions for a more rational and modern diversification of functions within the Civil Service and a set of rules adopted as guidelines in view of a renewed attention for issues like efficency and transparency of the Civil Service.
